General terms and conditions
General terms and conditions for swimming school 'Your Personal Swim Coach' and 'Swimming School Het Watertje'

Organization

Swimming schools 'Your Personal Swim Coach'  and 'Swimming School Het Watertje' are registered with the Chamber of Commerce in The Hague under reference number 84767316 with the tax identification number : NL863357404B01.
The 'student' refers to the swimming children, registered by a parent/guardian.

1. Risk and health
All students are obliged to complete the registration form truthfully and completely regarding health conditions. The entire relevant medical background must be mentioned. Participating in the lessons is at your own risk. The swimming school must have at least one telephone number that can be reached in the event of an accident. The swimming school has liability insurance with AEGON; 702893109. The Swimming School excludes any form of liability as a result of injury/damage incurred during before and after swimming lessons.

2. Reference teaching method
The swimming school adheres to the ENVOZ swimming guidelines and issues the international ENVOZ A, B and C diploma.

3. Start of swimming lessons
We request that you ensure that your child arrives at swimming lessons on time. Being late is disruptive to the other children and the coach. Please let the children wait in the changing room until shortly before the start of the swimming lesson. Please let him/her go to the toilet before the start of the lesson so that this does not have to be done during the lesson. It is of course allowed to go to the toilet during class. We request that you teach your child to shower after using the toilet.

4. Trial lesson
All new students are welcome to participate in a trial lesson at one of our locations. Based on the trial lesson, the coach in question will discuss his/her observations with the parent(s) to arrive at an action plan together.

5.Registration of a student
By completing and signing the registration form of our swimming school, you will register for weekly swimming lessons. All students receive personal login details by email for the online student tracking system when registering (see point 6 for further information).

The registration will be maintained until the student has been deregistered via swimming score. The remaining catch-up lessons (max 7) can still be spent. The swimming school will regularly send reminders around swim dates, after which students often unsubscribe. The student can then be deregistered in time and still complete the remaining catch-up lessons.

At the beginning of each month, the tuition fee for the upcoming period will be debited from your checking account by direct debit.

6. Student monitoring system: Swimming score
With the Swimming score system you can:
  • Follow progress via the scores and a personal text from your coach
  • View and pay your tuition payments.
  • Cancel the desired lessons and book catch-up lessons.
  • Canceling a swimming lesson via Zwemscore
To cancel a lesson free of charge, you must log in to your personal Zwemscore account at least 8 hours prior to the lesson and cancel the desired lesson. No exceptions are made. It is not possible to cancel a lesson by e-mail, telephone or verbally. If you do not cancel a lesson within 8 hours, it cannot be made up.

7. Cancellation of a swimming lesson by management
The management of our swimming school has the right to cancel a lesson at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness of the staff or on behalf of the swimming pool). We will inform our students of the circumstances as soon as possible.

8. Payments of tuition fees
In the event of late payment or cancellation of correctly collected contributions, €5.00 in administration costs will be charged. You must pay this yourself when transferring the overdue payment. If payment is in arrears of more than 2 months, the reserved swimming spot will be canceled. There is no right to a refund of any course fees already paid.

The notice period is 1 month from the last swimming lesson of the month in which you cancel the swimming lessons. Students are normally deregistered after the swim-off moment. These dates are fixed and communicated regularly. The swimming school will then send a reminder to switch to using the remaining catch-up lessons.

Paused and irregular swimmers pay a monthly administration fee to keep their account activated.

9. Payment method
Each month you will receive an invoice for the number of planned lessons for the month in question. Swimming lessons that are canceled on time have already been paid for and you can catch up at another time for free.

10. Privacy
All personal data of our students is treated with respect and the privacy of our students is carefully taken into account. The data is never shared with third parties, unless our swimming school is forced to do so, taking into account the applicable legislation.

We operate in line with the current GDPR legislation. These are further explained in our Privacy Statement, on the website of our schools.

Photos taken by our coaches during lessons can be used for our website or Facebook page. If a student is recognizable in a photo, we will always ask permission to post this photo publicly.

11. User rules at our swimming facilities
Our swimming school, including our students, are guests at all times in the swimming pools rented by the swimming school. This means that we must adhere to the rules of the swimming pool and behave according to the instructions of the swimming pool. All other guests and pool staff must be treated with respect and not be unduly disturbed by our presence, including the time before and after class. If our students repeatedly do not comply with the instructions of the swimming pool or the staff of our swimming school, as described above, our swimming school is forced to immediately deregister the student in question from swimming lessons at our swimming school. The student is not entitled to a refund of tuition fees, etc.

12. Final provision
By sending the registration, the registering parent/guardian of the student declares to confirm these General Terms and Conditions. The swimming schools reserve the right to change the conditions.
